Umulungalinga!

Justin had his first public performance in Scouts...it was a riot! The scout master is awesome, and loves drama, so the scouts put on a 1st class play called Umulungalina.

Justin was a the strong and proud...Kudo.

The animals of the forest are starving because of a famine in the land. The only way to get the magical tree to produce food is to say its name. Each of the animals take a far off trip to the chief of the land to learn the name of the tree. But on the return of each trip, the animals forget how to say the name. Finally the very last animal to go is the most unlikely to succeed...the slow tortoise.
Here, Justin gets his horns stuck in a tree which causes him to forget the name of the tree. His facial expressions were so funny...AWESOME!!! Everyone really enjoyed the performance

Jack

Here is the newest member of our growing farm family. This is Jack, a Brittany Spaniel. He is 8 weeks old and adorable. He is our first dog. I hear I'm in for a treat.


He and Noah have a love/hate relationship. They both content for this chair. It's quite the battle.

Ususally, this story is the other way around. Noah loves to tease the pup. But every now and then, Jack has his turn.

Here is a little panorama of the Farm. From the left you can see the Lower Shed that is the future home of our horses/ goats / and chickens, and also home storage; then the hay barn, Bio Diesel Shed, Storage Shed, House, Garage & Shed, and upper shed which serves as our wood barn and tractor shelter.

Our boys LOVE playing in this field, and run through it several times a day.

Little chicks

The 4 little chicks that Sister Bromgard gave us multiplied into about 25 chicks. They are getting so big, so fast. They are cute, but are starting to stink up my pantry!!!
Max loves to take care of the chickens. So often he tells me things he has already done to make the chicks safe and comfortable, including making beds for them out of toilet paper.

Buzz Buzz...Did you hear the news?

Geoff and boys are making Bee Nooks in preparation of the arrival of our bees that will be here mid April. oh HONEY!

Nanna arrives!!!

Nanna arrived Home sometime around 3pm. We were all SOOOOO excited to see her car drive up and to realize she'd never have to leave again. We are the luckiest family in the world. We all have anticipated this moment for YEARS!!! It's hard to believe it's all coming to fruition now.

Needless to say...we all went right to work. We had a patch of good weather and had our fruit trees begging for a home. The sun was out and it was energizing to be outside and feel it's warmth.

Our trees were here in this little building...the future Bio fuel processing center.

This is the nifty little tool that dug the majority of our holes for the trees we are planting.

From living room into dining room. A bit cramped, but this is where much of life indoors takes place! I love the windows ALL AROUND the house that let us enjoy the beautiful views! I can look out that window right there and see the entire field that will soon be Sweet Valley Organics.
