The Pennsylvania Express

This was Max's first time to see the Pennsylvania Express run. Of course, being a Neyman...he LOVED it. All my boys love trains.

Date Night at Assagio's

Geoff and I were given a gift certificate (as a thank you for Dance Festival) to an Italian restaurant called Assagio's in downtown Boise. This will be our last night out on the town for a while as I am due to have our little baby next week. Geoff and I both LOVE being in our quaint downtown, and the restaurant was DELICIOUS...Italian at it's best.

We had to laugh at the price we still paid even after using the certificate...not a cheap place to eat!!! But I must say, I LOVED it and had a very enjoyable evening with my charming husband.

WaHOO!!

Justin was invited to a birthday party for Andrew Eastman to a place called Wahoo's (used to be called Boondocks). It's one of Justin's favorite places to go. We all went and had so much fun with race cars, laser tag, and the Kiddie Cove (below) which was Max & Justin's favorite...a very very fun play place.

FHE HIGH Adventure Rafting

We had a split FHE tonight...Geoff and Justin went rafting down the Payette River with the Neffingers and Haffens from our ward, and Max and I hung out at home (we couldn't find any maternity life jackets :)

After hearing about their adventure, I probably would have gone into labor had I gone! Two of the adults were thrown out of the raft! It was a wild ride.

We're still trying to convince Justin that not all rafting trips are as "adventurous." It was a good experience for our safe and cautious 8 year old. Thank goodness he loves spending time with his Dad.

Max during Justin's photo shoot

Oh my goodness, our Max is SOOOOOO funny!

Justin at 8

Justin is such a great child...I love how Geoff's photography highlights his happy, caring, even silly nature. Justin is simply AWESOME!

I love to see boys in their white shirts and ties...
they are so handsome!

I wonder how much it would cost to print out 20 super-large prints?

Okay, so I am biased, but is this kid charming or what? I was just going to blog 3 or 4 of his pictures, but couldn't leave some of these out!!!

Which is your favorite?

Painting fun

I've come to the simple conclusion that my boys could paint happily every day! They both REALLY love to paint.
I was especially surprised with how LONG Max painted this time. Usually after 30 minutes or so, he is done and off to the next project. But this time, he painted for almost 2 hours. Just look at his concentration!!!

Ta-Dah!!!

If you're wondering about the band around Max's head, he wanted to be like Nephi, and for some reason he associates a headband with him. While we were at the skate park the other night, he saw a kid with long hair and a headband and kept saying, "Look Mom...it's Nephi!"

Wizard of Oz

Every year, our little development organizes a Children's Theater. It's great for the kids...they love it!

This year the production was The Wizard of Oz. Justin has read the book several times in anticipation of tonight's performance. Once again... HE LOVED it, but...doesn't want anything to do with being IN it. Max on the other hand kept asking me, "When is it my turn?" Possibly next year!

Eagle Bike Park

Tonight we drove to Eagle's fairly new Bike Park. It is a GREAT park including, several fun bike trails, a skills park, outdoor skating rink, skate park and fields. Geoff and Justin rode for a while on the bike trails, and then Max and I joined them at the skills park where Geoff rode and the boys had a hoot running around. Then we ended on the skate park...FUN! The pictures below are the skill park.

We are planning another trip here soon. What a blast!!!

Fireworks & night time Fun

Wow...what a day. There is NOTHING that compares to fun with family. We really love all of our family and LOVE BEING TOGETHER!

Chaz

After Justin's baptism, we went to Mike and Alisha's house and were introduced to their 5-day old baby "Chaz" ....Chandler Micheal Neyman. He is very cute! In fact, he reminded Geoff and I a little of Jacob. This is their 4th boy! Only a few weeks more until you see Geoff in that same pose with our own little guy!

Justin's Baptism

Today was such a special day for our family. Justin, having turned 8 years old chose to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has been preparing for this day for a long time.

As we pulled into the church parking lot, we saw an Idaho license plate SUV pull up next to us...the DeMordaunts (our Idaho Family)!!!! What a fun surprise for us. It made this day all the more special to have them there with us. We love you guys!
Justin's service was EXTRA SPECIAL as it was mostly given by his cousins who all did so beautifully! These kids are really something extraordinary!

To the Theatre!

Cute Movie.

This was Max's first experience at the theatre, and he did quite well. Except for the fact that when he sat in his seat by himself, the only thing he could see was the back of the seat in front of him. He spent most of his time on our laps!
So Happy Together!
Brinley, Justin, & MaKayla

Fun with Cummings

Bowling
We went to Jack N Jill Lanes with the Cummings (Russ, MaKayla, Brin & Jentry).

A Strike!
Justin had a great game of bowling with many strikes and spares!

Check out these moves!

Max LOVED being able to push the ball down the ramp and do some damage to the pins at the end of the lane.

Having fun!

With Numbers

We spent the first day at Numbers...had some fun in the Sun, a long nap, and lots of laughter. We always love our visits here!
