I'm going through my house trying to simplify and detoxify :). This was the 2nd batch of cleaners that I gave to my neighbor! Goodness...over 5 boxes of cleaners gone! Now I have ONLY 5 Non toxic items to clean my whole house and I LOVE IT!!!! 1. Vinegar 2. Baking Soda 3. Hydrogen Peroxide 4. Borax and 5. Orange stuff cleaner.

I am doing the same thing! I have loved it! what do you use for the diswasher? Well - just send me all your recipies. I have a toothpase one I want to try too.
Nice! I've been thinking of doing this! Environmentally friendly and even purse-friendly! :)
I'd love to know what products you are substituting for the harsher cleaners. (Ex: how do you scour your kitchen sink and get it white and sanitized??) Do you have a list of what to use where?
Here's a "recipe" for you that works great: make a paste with cream of tartar and water. Use it to remove rust stains from fabrics. I've used it on our bath mat and white towels. Works like a charm!! I use something called "angel cream" in place of the cream of tartar. I learned about it from the Amish. (I buy it in an Amish community near here.) It's significantly less expensive than cream of tartar and works just as well. :)
Way to go Janae. We have been trying to do the same thing, and it's not the easiest! But it is worthwhile. :)
