DAY 2 Continued

We made it to CA just after noon, enjoyed a gourmet lunch at Costco and had a nice evening at the KOA campground where 3 freeways intersect in downtown Sacramento. We actually slept pretty well to the hum of freeway traffic and honking geese in the nearby lake. We had the ENTIRE tent campground to ourselves since everyone else was enjoying steak in their RVs - luckily a light breeze carried the aroma right to our campsite so our freeze-dried noodles tasted even better -after all, we had decided to rotate our emergency food on this trip. We had a lot of visitors throughout the evening with the dumpster being 12' from our tent. BUT, good ol KOA has wi-fi so I can type this while relaxing at our campsite. We could have even eating off one of the "roach coaches" tooting their horns at the industrial park across the way.

Justin's comments...
I'm so excited to go to the train museum. I would like to see the steam engines. The camping was fun. I had fun chasing the birds when they came on - I would just run right at 'em and they would go flying away like this was our land.

DAY 3 FRI - Oatmeal for breakfast with a shot of CLIF Energy Gel to sweeten it up (which Justin liked), and a nice hot KOA shower and we are off to the museum.

What a luxurious trip. Wish I could have ridden along. Well, on second thought. . .
