A Picnic in the Parking lot

We intended to go to the river and play this afternoon, but the river is so high and rapid right now that the authorities have asked for people to stay away until it settles a bit. So we went to the pet store instead and watched and played with the animals there.

As we were getting out of the car, Justin said, "I'm starving!" Having packed snacks for the river, I figured we may as well make the best of them there in the parking lot... So I just opened up the hatch, and we sat in the shade of the car eating apples, sugar snap peas and blueberries. It was fun and refreshing on this VERY HOT day.

It doesn't matter where you picnic with these boys, just so long as there is good food to eat!!
