Justin's Friday Co-op group is small this semester (Emily and Clark McCauley and Colton Wright), but we are really enjoying a lot of flexibility in deciding what we do and how much time we spend on it. Today, we started out looking for birds, but didn't find any. But as you can see, it was a BEAUTIFUL nature walk. We walked along the creek bed behind Valerie McCauley's home. We saw rabbit, pheasant, and fox tracks, made friends with two stray dogs, discovered an abandoned ice castle, and found a very cool nest. After our walk, the kids went to Karen's home and made the bird feeder you see above: pine cone with peanut butter and seeds of sorts. I've got to get ours outside fast, before Max eats it!
